Feb 4th – Biodynamically Speaking…
Jeff Poppen, a.k.a. The Barefoot Farmer, will be speaking from 4-6 PM on Sunday, February 4th, 2007 at the FIRST SUNDAY meeting at First Church Unity, 5125 Franklin Rd., in Nashville. Jeff’s talk is entitled: “Good Food Choices: Biodynamic Farming and Community Supported Agriculture”.
For more than 25 years, using organic and biodynamic practices, Jeff has been growing an abundance of healthy food on his 300 acre Long Hungry Creek Farm in Red Boiling Springs. Over the years, he’s also become widely recognized for his segments on Nashville Public Television’s “Volunteer Gardener” show.
Long Hungry Creek Farm currently offers a CSA program with deliveries at two locations in the Nashville area. CSA information and sign-up will be available at the event.
Since 1994, FIRST SUNDAY, an Institute of Noetic Sciences Community Group, has offered free monthly meetings with interesting speakers & mind stretching topics; an opportunity to network and connect with like minded people; and a forum to promote alternative & esoteric workshops, seminars & services.
The event is free, and open to the public.
